VAKS arrested Yanukovych’s son in absentia in the Mezhyhirya case
The court in the case of the residence Mezhyhirya chose a measure of restraint for Aleksandr Yanukovych in the form of detention.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court arrested in absentia the son of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Alexandra in the case of the Mezhyhirya residence. About it informs Special anti-corruption prosecutor’s office on Wednesday, October 13.
Today VAKS granted the petition of NABU detectives, agreed with the SAP prosecutor, and chose a measure of restraint for Aleksandr Yanukovych in the form of detention.
Note that Alexander Yanukovych, together with his father, is suspected of illegal use of the complex of buildings of the Mezhyhirya state residence on the territory of the Vyshgorodsky district. The loss they inflicted on the state is estimated at more than UAH 500 million.
Note that at the end of July 2021, a petition was submitted to VAKS from NABU and SAP to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention for Viktor Yanukovych and his son in the case of the appropriation of Mezhyhirya. In October, VAKS arrested Viktor Yanukovych in absentia.
