In the city of Koryukovka, Chernihiv region, a ninth grader died from the coronavirus COVID-19. About this on Monday, October 18, reported UNIAN agency with reference to the mayor of the city Ratan Akhmedov.

“Today we have the first death of a child from COVID-19. The boy had concomitant diseases, but someone transmitted this disease to him. He passed it on because there is no collective immunity, the mask regime is not observed,” the head of the city council said.

As reported, the deceased boy was in the 9th grade of one of the city’s schools. With complications against the background of COVID, he was hospitalized in the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital, but the doctors could not save the child.

Recall that in Ukraine, the number of hospitalizations among children with coronavirus infection is rapidly growing. A significant increase in the number of children with a severe course of COVID-19 is recorded in almost all regions.
