Shelling of Granitnoye: Criminal Proceedings Opened

Six houses were damaged as a result of shelling in a civilian village.

Employees of the Volnovakha District Prosecutor’s Office of the Donetsk Region began a pre-trial investigation into the shelling of residential buildings in the village of Granitnoye. Fortunately, there were no civilian casualties. About it informs press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

“The pre-trial investigation established that on the morning of October 26, representatives of illegal armed formations of the Russian Federation fired a mortar attack on the village of Granitnoye, Volnovakhsky district. Six residential buildings were damaged during the shelling,” the ministry said in a statement.

Criminal proceedings were initiated on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (part 1 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

We will remind, in Syria, the US military base came under fire. There are no casualties among the US military. No terrorist group has yet claimed responsibility for what happened.

Earlier in Poland, they announced about shelling at the border from Belarus. According to the press secretary of the Polish border service Anna Michalskaya, there were no casualties. She admitted that the Belarusians deliberately shot wide of the mark.
