The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) sentenced the former general director of the Chernobyl special plant Mikhail Grabchuk, accused of corruption, to 3 years and 6 months in prison. About this on Wednesday, November 10, informs SAP press service.

In addition, he was fined 17 thousand hryvnia for abuse of office (part 2 of article 364 of the Criminal Code of the Code). The court also satisfied the civil claim in the case of compensation for property damage in the amount of 1 million hryvnia.

It is noted that in 2016 the then director of the plant Grabchuk signed a number of agreements on the purchase of diesel fuel with the winner of the auction, then unreasonably agreed to increase the price of the contract. As a result, the enterprise received more expensive fuel in smaller volumes than indicated in the contracts. The amount of damage caused by the chipboard is estimated at UAH 1 million.
