A suspect in work for the Russian special services was detained in Poland

In Poland, the Internal Security Agency has detained a 66-year-old citizen of the country, who is suspected of spying for Russia. About it informs Polsatnews.

According to the Polish authorities, the detainee worked for the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia and acted to the detriment of Poland’s interests. He does not admit his guilt. The suspect in espionage was arrested on November 21 in the territory of the Warmia and Mazury Voivodeship. The court later arrested him for three months. It is reported that during a search in the apartment of the detainee, things and documents were seized that could prove his espionage activities.

The special services of Poland believe that the activities of the 66-year-old detainee may be associated with another citizen of the country who is accused of espionage. In May this year, Polish law enforcement agencies detained a 43-year-old local resident, Marcin K. According to the Internal Security Agency, he was collecting information about military structures and Polish citizens and passed this data on to Russian intelligence. The agency said that he pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him.
