Yarmolenko’s goal helped West Ham beat Rapid

“Hammermen” advanced to the next stage of the tournament from the first place.

On Thursday, 25 November, Rapid hosted West Ham as part of the fifth round of the Europa League group stage. The match ended with the victory of the guests with a score of 2: 0.

The first in this meeting was the team from London. Goal on account of the Ukrainian winger Andrey Yarmolenko.

Mark Noble doubled the guests’ lead from the 11-meter. The same Yarmolenko, who was rudely knocked down in the penalty area, earned a penalty.

This victory allowed West Ham to reach the next stage of the Europa League from the first line (13 points), and Rapid (3 points) can now only count on getting into the Conference League.
