Councilwoman Professor Liliam (PT) sent an indication to the mayor of Cascavel, Leonaldo Paranhos (PSC), suggesting that the Municipal Executive create a program to guarantee a water tank in all low-income households that do not yet have it.
According to the parliamentarian, the water crisis faced in Paraná exposed social problems that were often ignored in Cascavel. Among them, the lack of drinking water reservoirs during the rotations.
“The lack of water affects the entire society of Cascavel and, more severely, low-income people. Thus, the intervention of the Public Power is necessary, so that dignity can be guaranteed to these families. We even indicate the analysis the inclusion of this demand in the next contract to be signed with Sanepar”, proposed the councilor.

“It is worth noting that this prolonged water crisis is a consequence of the lack, in the present and in the past, of public environmental policies for the preservation of springs and rivers. We all have a responsibility, but it is up to the Government to enforce the legislation and improve it, if appropriate, to reverse this situation”, said Professor Liliam.
For the parliamentarian, it is necessary that the municipality look carefully at the matter. The councilor’s request appears in Indication nº 1.431 of 2021 of the Municipality of Cascavel, which includes the subscription of support from other councilors: Cleverson Sibulski (PROS), Celso Dal Molin (PL), Dr. Lauri (PROS), Edson Souza ( MDB), Serginho Ribeiro (PDT), Police Officer Madril (PSC), Tiago Almeida (DEM) and Vilmar Melo (PP).
