A new scandal flares up in Ukrainian football.
On Thursday, December 9, journalist and host of “TaToTake” Andrey Senkiv on my Facebook published a post in which he said that he had written a statement to the police against Minay striker Yevgeny Seleznev.
“The only place where I am ready to deal with Seleznev is human rights structures. I have already filed a complaint with the police. It is” in due diligence. “
Also on the TaToTake channel on YouTube, a video appeared with recorded telephone conversations between Senkiv and Yevgeny Seleznev and the head coach of the Uzhgorod club Igor Leonov.
Some time later on the official website of Minaya there was an appeal from the club regarding this incident.
In connection with the publication on the Youtube channel of one of the popular football programs of audio recordings of telephone conversations between football player Yevgeny Seleznev and head coach Igor Leonov, FC Minai considers it necessary to state the following:
We respect the work of journalists and are always glad when they draw attention to the life of our club with their materials. However, we do not understand when media representatives use dubious sources and give out unconfirmed information as a true fact.
Journalist Andrei Senkiv, who released these audio recordings, claims allegedly “problems in the locker room”, “violation of discipline”, “boorish attitude towards the coach” and others on the air of the “Ta To Take” program on December 6, 2021.
It should be noted that the released video in tik-tok, on the basis of which the journalist made his conclusions that E. Seleznev negatively expresses his emotions, were not addressed to coach I. Leonov.
Please note that, according to an internal investigation, we found out that the video was secretly recorded by an unknown fan who ran out onto the field at the moment when the team was walking towards the fan sector, to thank for the support in the game with Dynamo on November 27. E. Seleznev criticized only the players. The footballer has already apologized to them on the same day in the locker room for his actions.
Why the journalist makes such conclusions on the air of the program and why he presents his fabrications as a confirmed fact – remains on the conscience of the author. We do not exclude that his sources, where he gets information from, deliberately manipulate the journalist so that he passes off “wishful thinking” for “reality.”
Also, it is not clear to us for what purpose this information was made public on the air? Is it with the aim of discrediting the club in the eyes of fans and colleagues? Is it possible for the sake of another hype?
Note that such unconfirmed information became the reason for the conflict between E. Seleznev and the journalist, as a result of which these unpleasant telephone conversations arose.
On behalf of the club, we declare that we do not support any manifestations of the player’s aggression towards the journalist. In this regard, a prophylactic conversation has already been held with the player E. Seleznyov in private and appropriate measures will be taken.
We also note that the recorded corresponding audio recordings were not during the player’s working hours and they are of a private nature.
And we ask media representatives in the future, if there are corresponding misunderstandings with representatives of our club, contact us accordingly so that we resolve the conflict in a civilized way, and not through publicity in the media, affecting not only the perpetrators of the conflict, but the entire football club and its feelings fans.
