
Construction of green power plants in Ukraine halved in 2021
In December 2021, 22 MW of green power plants were commissioned in Ukraine. This is the smallest figure in a year.
In Ukraine, in 2021, 731 MW of renewable energy capacities were commissioned, which is almost two times less than in 2020, when 1,331 MW of green power plants were launched. It is reported by RBK-Ukraine with reference to the calculations of NEURC.
It is noted that last year, the country built 359 MW of wind power, 286 MW of industrial solar power plants, 18 MW of domestic power plants, 43 biomass, 20 biogas and 4 MW of small hydroelectric power plants.

The total capacity of green power plants in Ukraine by the end of 2021 is 8451 MW.
Earlier it was reported that 1.24 billion euros were invested in green energy in Ukraine during 2020.
