Berbek will first visit Kiev, and then Moscow
Annalena Berbock will arrive in Ukraine early next week. She will also visit Moscow.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock will visit Ukraine on January 17, Foreign Minister Oleg Nikolenko said on Thursday, January 13, writes RBK-Ukraine.
During her visit, it is planned to discuss further consolidation of support for Ukraine from Germany against the background of aggressive actions by Russia, intensification of the peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the resumption of the Normandy format, countering threats in the field of energy security, discussion of steps to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
“It is very important that Annalena Berbock will first fly to Kiev to agree on a single powerful negotiating position with respect to the Russian Federation, on the eve of her visit to Moscow on January 18,” Nikolenko stressed.
Russia said that they would talk with Berbek about security guarantees in Europe.
As a reminder, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba had his first conversation with Berbek on December 13.
