In Ukraine, the Omicron strain began to be detected more often
Of the 30 samples examined at the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health, Omicron was confirmed in 13 cases.
A new strain of coronavirus Omicron was identified in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. This became known on Wednesday, January 19.
So, about Omicron in the Carpathians informed Ruslan Savchuk from the Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
According to him, the results of tests that were sent to determine the presence of a coronavirus mutation came from the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health. A total of 30 samples were sent.
“In 30 directed samples, along with the circulating (dominant) Delta strain, the Omicron strain was found in 13,” Savchuk added.
It should be noted that as of January 19, the Omicron strain has already been detected in 10 regions of Ukraine.
It was also reported that the Ministry of Health listed the features of the Omicron COVID strain.
