The Ministry of Health has updated the protocol for providing medical care to patients with coronavirus – two medicines have already been purchased, contracts have been signed with the manufacturers of two more.

In December 2021, the Ministry of Health updated the protocol for providing medical care to patients with coronavirus. About it informs press service of the Ministry of Health on Thursday, January 20.

For treatment in hospitals, Remdesevir (more than 66 thousand bottles) and Tocilizumab (more than 3 thousand bottles) have already been purchased.

In addition, an agreement was signed for the supply of 300,000 courses of Molnupiravir, a drug for the outpatient treatment of COVID-19, in order to protect, first of all, risk groups from the transition of the disease from mild to moderate and severe.

The Ministry of Health also signed a preliminary contract for the purchase of 300,000 courses of treatment with Paxlovid.

Recall that earlier the head of the Ministry of Health Viktor Lyashko announced the beginning of an outbreak of coronavirus. The coronavirus is spreading fastest in the western regions. Ivano-Frankivsk will soon fall into the red quarantine zone.

It was also reported that more than 15 million people were vaccinated in Ukraine. During the day, 26,976 people received the first dose, 32,338 people received the second dose, 518 people received an additional dose, and 14,927 received a booster dose.
