Kichenok and Ostapenko completed their performance in the doubles Australian Open

The Ukrainian-Latvian duet was defeated in three sets.

In Melbourne (Australia) the second round doubles match of the Australian Open was held, in which Ukrainian Lyudmila Kichenok and Latvian Elena Ostapenko performed.

The Ukrainian-Latvian duo failed to make it to the next round, losing to Petra Martic from Croatia and Shelby Rogers from the USA.

The match lasted 1 hour 49 minutes. During the meeting, a Ukrainian and a Latvian filed right through once, made seven double faults and converted two out of nine break points.

Their rivals threw seven aces, never made a mistake when putting the ball into play and converted five out of 15 break points.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainians Marta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremskaya reached the 1/8 finals Australian Open doubles tournament.
