Kostyuk and Yastremskaya made it to the third round of the Australian Open doubles

The Ukrainians confidently beat their rivals in the second round match.

In Melbourne (Australia) continues the first Grand Slam tournament this season – the Australian Open.

Ukrainians Marta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremska perform in doubles, who managed to get into the third round of the tournament.

In the second round match, Kostyuk and Yastremskaya defeated a pair of Jasmine Paolini and Heather Watson.

The match lasted 1 hour and 16 minutes. During the meeting, the Ukrainians filed four aces, made five double faults and converted four out of six break points.

Paolini and Watson fired twice, made mistakes four times when putting the ball into play and converted two of the three break points.

In the next round, the Ukrainians will play against a pair of Caroline Dolehide (USA)/Storm Sanders (Australia), who are the ninth seed of the tournament. This fight will take place on Sunday, January 23rd.

Recall that in the first round of the doubles tournament, Kostyuk and Yastremskaya defeated the eighth seeded tournament Katherine McNally and Corey Gauff from the United States.

Earlier it was reported that Martha Kostyuk completed her performance in singles Australian Open after the third round.
