An unidentified man opened fire at a hotel at tourists from Canada. Three people were injured, one tourist later died.
In the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, three tourists were injured in a shooting at the Xcaret Hotel, one of whom died in hospital. About it informs State Secretary of Public Safety Lucio Hernandez Gutierrez.
“Following the unfortunate events at the Xcaret Hotel, the three victims were immediately taken to the hospital, where, unfortunately, one died. Three of the victims are Canadians,” he wrote on Twitter.
It is known that an unknown person opened fire after a quarrel between hotel guests. The shooter fled.
“The command of the coordination group launched an operational operation to capture him, we will be deeply grateful for any information for prompt detention,” the official added.
He later posted a photo of the suspect from a security camera. This is a young man in a tracksuit. He has a pistol in his hands.
