The residual batch of refunds of the Individual Income Tax (IRPF) is now available for consultation since 9 am this Monday (24). About 240 thousand taxpayers who fell into the fine mesh in recent years, but who settled the pending issues with the Federal Revenue will receive a total of R$ 281 million.
For the taxpayer to know if he is entitled to the residual lot and what the value is, it is necessary to access the website of the Federal Revenue on the internet, click on “My Income Tax” and “Consult the Refund”. It is still possible to make the consultation through the agency’s application available for tablets and smartphones. Payment is made directly to the bank account informed on the Income Tax Declaration.
If the agency is unable to deposit the amount in the informed account, the money will be available for up to one year at the Bank in Brazil. In that case, it is possible reschedule the credit through the BB Portal or calling the BB Relationship Center through the telephone numbers 4004-0001 (capital cities), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special telephone exclusively for the hearing impaired).
If the redemption is not made within one year, the taxpayer must request it through the e-CAC Portal, available on the Federal Revenue Service website, accessing the menu Declarations and Statements > My Income Tax and clicking on “Request a refund not redeemed in the banking network”.
