Vaccination in Ukraine
There will be no changes to the state budget for 2022 to increase funding for the єPіdtrimka program yet.
There are no funds in the budget yet to pay Ukrainians who have taken a booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine. About it declared Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko in an interview with Economic Truth.
“If you count, then the state paid 7.7 million citizens for a thousand. Therefore, if we calculate that all these people will go for a booster dose within a year, then 3 billion (budgeted for the єPіdtrimka program – ed.) will not be enough,” – he said.
According to him, it is not worth making changes to the 2022 budget to increase funding for єPіdtrimka, since the Ukrainians will make the booster gradually.
“This postpones the solution of the problem for the whole year,” Marchenko added.
As previously reported, almost 300,000 Ukrainians received boosters.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health clarified the timing of the booster dose. For people who have completed the full course of vaccination, a booster dose is administered six to nine months later.
