Registration for the Recife AMA Carnival Plan is open, which should guarantee around R$ 10.5 million for the production chain of the carnival cycle. The regulation notice was published on Saturday (26), in the Official Gazette. And registration starts this Monday (28), through the website www.culturarecife.com.br.
The resources will include artistic attractions and associations, as well as other representatives of categories involved in the celebration, such as Carnival technicians and artisans, linked to the cycle and involved in at least one of the two most recent editions of the party, held in 2019 and 2020. The expectation is that, in all, 1,000 beneficiaries and groups will register, totaling almost 20,000 people covered.

Attractions and popular culture associations, which represent collectives linked to the event, will be entitled to 100% of the subsidy or fee (unit value) received for participating in the program – limited to a maximum ceiling of R$ 60 thousand.
In the category of individual beneficiaries, a fixed amount of R$ 1.2 thousand will be paid. For players who participated in contests, the value is R$ 600. Payments are expected to begin in March.
Each tenderer may register only one association or artistic attraction. Upon registration, associations that received a grant in 2019 and/or 2020 will be able to nominate up to three Carnival artisans to receive individual aid.
Those who are unable to register online will be assured face-to-face service at the Citizen Culture Center, located in Pátio de São Pedro, house 39, with an appointment between 9 am and 4 pm, complying with health protocols. Appointments can be made by telephone: (81) 3224-3674 and (81) 3224-3660. Applications will close on March 18th.
