The founder of the Altai newspaper “Listok” Sergei Mikhailov was sent to a pre-trial detention center in the case of “fakes” about the Russian army (paragraph “d” part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code), informs regional department of the Investigative Committee.
Mikhailov was detained on April 13 in Moscow, on the same day the security forces conducted a search in the editorial office of the publication. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
“For my publications of the truth about the ongoing aggressive war in Ukraine, the founder of the newspaper, Sergei Mikhailov, was arrested, searches were conducted at my family’s house in Barnaul, and at all members of the editorial office in Gorno-Altaisk. Everyone will have to answer for every crime committed,” said Sibir.Realiyam editor-in-chief of “Listok” Victor Rau.
The Gorno-Altai City Court earlier fined the publication 300,000 and the director of its legal entity, Olga Komarova, 100,000 on charges of “discrediting” the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
Another report against Olga Komarova was drawn up under the article on calling for sanctions (part 1 of article 20.3.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of a note about the Nuremberg 2.0 telegram bot, where it was proposed to send the names of officials supporting the war in Ukraine.
