This Friday (29), the Federal Revenue pays the residual lot of refund of the Individual Income Tax (IRPF) for the month of April this year referring to refunds from previous years. In total, BRL 180,556,530.18 will be paid to 210,153 taxpayers.
Payment is made directly to the bank account informed on the Income Tax Declaration. If the agency is unable to deposit the amount in the informed account, the money will be available for up to one year at the Bank in Brazil.
The taxpayer may also reschedule the credit through the BB Portal or by calling the BB Relationship Center at 4004-0001 (capital cities), 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special telephone exclusively for the hearing impaired) .
“If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of his refund within one year, he must request it through the e-CAC Portal, available on the IRS websiteaccessing the menu Declarations and Statements > My Income Tax and clicking on “Request a refund not redeemed in the banking network”, informed the agency in a note.
To find out if the taxpayer is entitled to the residual lot, just access the IRS page on the internet, click on “My Income Tax” and on “Consult the Refund”. As a result, the guidelines for simplified or complete consultation of the status of the declaration will appear on the screen. If there is any pending issue, the taxpayer may rectify the declaration, correcting the information.
