The retirees and pensioners of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) with benefits greater than one minimum wage receive this Monday (2) the first installment of the 13th salary. All payments will be made by May 6th.
The amount corresponds to 50% of the benefit amount. Those who started to receive the money after January, however, will have the amount calculated in proportion to the remaining months.
There are two calendars that organize the payment, one for the insured who receive up to one minimum wage and the other for those who receive more than the national minimum wage.
For those who earn up to one minimum wage (R$ 1,212, this year) and have “6” as the final benefit number, the payment will be made this Monday (2) and for those who earn more than one minimum wage, deposits start today. The date is established taking into account the final benefit number, without considering the digit.

How to consult the benefits
The consultation of values can be done through the call center by telephone, at number 135, available from Monday to Saturday, from 7 am to 10 pm. It is necessary to inform the CPF number and confirm registration information to avoid fraud.
It is also possible to consult the Meu INSS application, by clicking on “Payment Statement”, which contains all the details about the payment of the benefit.
The second installment will be paid between May 25 and June 7, following the same payment criteria: final benefit number and amount. In the second installment, however, there may be a discount for Income Tax.
According to the federal government, 30.5 million INSS policyholders will be paid, totaling R$ 56.7 billion.
