A sudden check of the army’s response forces has begun in Belarus. About it informs Ministry of Defense of the country.
The military units and subunits will have to “work out the issues of bringing to combat readiness, marching to designated areas and performing combat training tasks.”
The department calls the purpose of the audit an assessment of “the readiness and ability of personnel to quickly respond to a possible crisis situation.” As the press service adds, military units and subunits will operate in unfamiliar areas of the terrain in a rapidly changing environment.
The composition of the forces involved in the verification, the department plans to gradually increase in order to test the ability of the army “to counteract military threats both on the ground and in the air.”
The Belarusian Defense Ministry stressed that the events “do not pose any threat either to the European community as a whole or to neighboring countries in particular.”
