The artist believes that a full-fledged humanitarian corridor is needed to save the inhabitants of the city.
British singer Sir Elton John expressed his concern about the humanitarian situation in the Ukrainian Mariupol, destroyed by Russian troops. He wrote the corresponding statement in Twitter.
The artist said that he was in this city, and called for saving thousands of civilians with the help of a full-fledged humanitarian corridor.
“More than 245,000 Ukrainians are living with HIV, many are leaving their homes and leaving loved ones, but, unfortunately, not all Ukrainians are within reach. I was in Mariupol and saw with a broken heart that access is still limited. A full-fledged humanitarian corridor is needed to save lives,” he wrote.
Recall that in 2018, Elton John took part in a charity event for the prevention and fight against AIDS in Ukraine.
