Earlier, in connection with the war, insurance companies and the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine decided to halve the cost of the Green Card for foreign countries. From March 2, reduced prices for policies for cars for 15 and 30 days began to operate.
However, at a meeting of the MTIBU on May 3, it was decided to cancel the discount on the Green Card. This will allow insurers to meet their obligations and make payments. After all, coverage limits for insurance in the EU reach millions of euros. However, in any case, the Ukrainian Green Card is cheaper than insurance in Europe.
From May 10, the cost of short-term insurance will double. That is, the price of policies will return to pre-war levels. A green card for 15 days will cost UAH 788, for 30 days – UAH 1255.
About online registration of the Green Card at a reduced price
Until May 10, you can purchase insurance at the old price. Moreover, you only need access to the Internet, a payment card and 5 minutes. To do this, use the Ukrainian online insurance service hotline.finance:
● Applying for a Green Card on hotline.finance takes 5 minutes. You need to enter the details of the buyer and the car and pay;
● A green card on hotline.finance can be purchased even 3 months in advance. To do this, select the date of commencement of the insurance validity that suits you when applying;
● Ready-made electronic insurance will be sent to your email immediately after payment. Its effect can be checked on the MTIBU website or by scanning the QR code from the policy.
