IDPs from war zones are provided with monthly payments
In Ukraine, 2.7 million people have registered as internally displaced persons since the introduction of martial law.
The Ministry of Social Policy allocated more than UAH 5.2 billion to Oschadbank in five tranches to pay the IDPs living assistance. In the coming days, these funds will be transferred to the accounts of people in the banks that the recipients indicated in the applications for payments, reported on the eve of the Ministry of Social Policy.
It is noted that to date, 2.7 million people have registered as internally displaced persons after the introduction of martial law. About 500 thousand applications were received through Diya. Some of them are now being processed by the social protection authorities, the teams of the Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Social Policy.
Also, not all applications have been received by the Ministry of Social Policy from the regions. Some areas transmit processed applications faster, others slower.
“Therefore, if you have not received a payment yet, do not worry, we continue to finance the payment of a living allowance to internally displaced persons for March and April in May, as we receive information from the regions. We have already transferred one tranche in May, we are planning next week another direction of funds to people,” said the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna.
As a reminder, accommodation assistance for internally displaced persons is provided for March-April in the following amounts: for persons with disabilities and children – UAH 3,000, for other persons – UAH 2,000.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the displaced people would receive additional payments through the UN program. This support is planned to cover about 500 thousand people.
