Botberg was charged with disobedience to the police (Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Also, a protocol was drawn up against him on the “discrediting” of the Russian army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), there has not yet been a trial in this case.
According to human rights activists, on May 9, during events dedicated to Victory Day, Russian police detained at least 125 people. 82 of them were detained for anti-war actions, pickets and symbols. Another 43 – for past actions and statements, for actions with a different theme, as well as “for preventive purposes.”
