
Biden signs bill during Asia visit

US President Joe Biden on Saturday, May 21, signed a bill to allocate $ 40 billion to Ukraine, informs White House press office.
A document for Biden’s signature was brought to South Korea, where he is on a visit.
Recall, on May 19, the US Senate finally approved a package of emergency military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine for a record $40 billion.
The communities will be distributed as follows:
- $6 billion for military training, equipment and armaments;
- $8.7 billion to replenish stocks of American weapons;
- $3.9 billion to help US European Command;
- $5 billion to address the global food crisis caused by the war in Ukraine;
- almost $9 billion in economic assistance to Kyiv,
- about $900 million to support Ukrainian refugees.
