Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova
The information concerns 87 thousand people. In addition, the psychological support line received 1.5 thousand reports of sexual violence and torture.
The hotline of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada received 44,000 complaints about Russian war crimes, which concern 87,000 people. Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova stated this at the opening of the Russia War Crimes House exhibition in Davos, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“Every day the hotline receives 700-800 calls about war crimes,” she said.
Denisova added that another psychological support line received 1,500 reports of sexual violence and torture.
“500 cases of suicide – mothers, in front of whom children were raped. Facebook banned me last week and deleted a post about the terrible crimes of Russian soldiers, as I violated moral and ethical standards. Did I violate it? – Wake up the world!” – emphasized the ombudsman.
She noted that peace in Ukraine should be achieved only at the cost of victory, and not “at the cost of our children and mothers.”
