The State Food and Consumer Service began checking gas stations
The State Food and Consumer Service emphasized that business entities are still required to declare prices in advance in case of their increase.
The State Food and Consumer Service has begun checking gas stations (gas stations) in Ukraine in connection with consumer complaints about inflated prices, refusal to pay by cards and lack of settlement documents. This was reported by the press service of the department.
The State Food and Consumer Service cites several examples of violations.
The Main Directorate of the State Food and Consumer Service in the Chernivtsi region checked five filling stations of PP-OIL LLC, where diesel fuel was sold at UAH 70 per liter. Based on the results of the inspection, as of May 22, fuel is not being sold at gas stations.
“The reason for the inspections were consumer reports, in particular, about excessively inflated fuel prices, the absence of settlement documents, the refusal to freely choose the means of payment, which began to arrive in recent days after the abolition of state regulation of prices for gasoline and diesel fuel,” the message says.
The State Food and Consumer Service emphasized that business entities are still required to declare prices in advance in case of their increase.
“The State Food Service reminds that price gouging under martial law is unacceptable, and violation of the rules for doing business will have consequences in the form of fines and other measures of administrative influence,” the department also noted.
Earlier it was reported that the action of state regulation of prices for gasoline and diesel fuel was officially suspended by the Cabinet of Ministers.
