The consultation of the first batch of the 2022 Income Tax refund begins at 10 am this Tuesday (24). The value is related to the income statement, based on the year 2021.
The Federal Revenue should refund R$ 6.3 billion to 3.38 million taxpayers. The values of the first batch will be deposited on May 31 of this year, the same day on which the deadline for submitting the declarations ends.
This first batch will be paid to declarants with priority: seniors over 80 years old; taxpayers over 60 years of age; taxpayers who have a physical or mental disability or serious illness; and taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching.
For the third following year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the deadlines for submitting statements were postponed.
Payment of Income Tax refunds will be made to the taxpayer’s current account. For this, at the time of declaration, the agency and account must be registered or inform the PIX, for the holder who has a key with his CPF number.
It is possible to consult the Federal Revenue website or by downloading the revenue application on your smartphone or tablet. In addition to these two means, it is possible to obtain information by accessing the Portal e-CAC, the entity’s virtual call center.
According to IRS, until the end of the morning of this Monday (23) about 25 million declarations of the Income Tax 2021 were sent. The Agency is still awaiting a total of 34 million declarations.
