The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested journalist and blogger Michael Naki in absentia, reported on the website of the court. A case was initiated against him for spreading “fake news” about the Russian army (Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).
The second defendant in the case is the founder of the Conflict Intelligence Team, Ruslan Leviev. On May 18, he was arrested in absentia by the same Moscow Basmanny Court.
Conflict Intelligence Team was founded in 2014 by Leviev. The project is engaged investigation circumstances of armed conflicts, including in Ukraine, Libya, Syria. Now researchers are checking and analyzing information around the war in Ukraine.
