To denounce the sale of the Lubrificantes e Derivados de Petróleo do Nordeste (Lubnor) refinery, the Oil Workers’ Union of Ceará and Piauí (Sindipetro CE-PI), convened a national act this Friday (27), starting at 7 am, in Fortaleza, on Avenida Leite Barbosa, Mucuripe, at gate A.
At the end of Wednesday afternoon (25), Petrobras announced the closing of the Lubnor sale contract. In an agreement signed with Grepar Participações, the refinery was transferred for the amount of US$ 34 million (approximately R$ 161 million).
Lubnor is located in Fortaleza, and is one of the leaders in the production of asphalt in Brazil, accounting for about 10% of the country’s total.
The Institute for Strategic Studies of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (Ineep), published on its official website a study carried out by the institute in which it shows that the value negotiated between Petrobras and Grepar Participações for the sale of the refinery is only equivalent to 55% of its total value.
According to the study, based on the highest exchange rate projections this year, the company would be valued at at least US$ 62 million (almost R$ 300 million).
