In addition to negotiations with Scholz on preparations for the NATO summit in Madrid at the end of June, Stoltenberg was scheduled to have a conversation with German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht.
As clarified in the German government, politicians also had to discuss the impact of Russia’s aggressive war in Ukraine on the Euro-Atlantic security situation, the strengthening of NATO’s eastern flank, the new strategic concept of the alliance and the entry of Finland and Sweden into the bloc.
