Czech pontoon bridges are already in Ukraine
Pontoon bridges will be installed in areas critically in need of restoration of transport links.
The Administration of State Material Reserves of the Czech Republic handed over to Ukraine two pontoon bridges 36 meters long each. They are already on the territory of our country, informs Ukravtodor on Friday, June 10.
“Destroyed bridges are the main obstacle to the restoration of logistical communication with the de-occupied territories. Ukravtodor can clear the road from the remnants of burnt military equipment, civilian vehicles, trees and debris using domestic contractors. But there are not enough materials and equipment for the construction of temporary bridges,” the report says. .
Pontoon bridges will be installed in areas critically in need of restoration of transport links.
“Thanks to the support of European partners, medicines, food and essential goods will be delivered to towns and villages liberated from Russian invaders,” Ukravtodor added.
Recall that only in the Kyiv region, 20 temporary crossings were built near bridges destroyed during active hostilities.
It was also reported that in the Kherson region, the Russian occupiers were undermining bridges in order to slow down the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
