O extraordinary loot of the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS) is available as of this Wednesday (15) for workers who have their birthdays in December. It is estimated that 3.3 million people can withdraw up to R$1,000.
The release of withdrawals is being made by Caixa Econômica Federal according to the month of birth of the workers. The money has been available since April 20, when it began to benefit those born in January. In all, around 42 million people benefited from the measure, according to information from Caixa.
Now, all workers who wish to make the extraordinary withdrawal have until December 15th to acquire the money. After this period, the amounts that are not withdrawn, spent or transferred will return to the worker’s FGTS account.
To check the amount available in your Guarantee Fund, just access the website or download the FGTS application on your smartphone or tablet.
With the amount released, the FGTS Extraordinary Withdrawal credit will be available at Caixa Digital Social Savings Accountopened by Caixa on behalf of the workers.
The available values can only be moved by the application box has, which allows the payment of bills and the realization of virtual purchases. The app also provides ATM withdrawals and money transfer to other bank accounts.
All workers who have FGTS have the right to withdraw, but those who do not want to withdraw the money must access the FGTS application or go to a Caixa branch to inform that they do not wish to receive the credit. In this case, the money will remain in the worker’s FGTS account immediately.
Access to fund account values can usually only be done in specific situations such as unfair dismissal, purchase of a home or retirement. The federal government, however, published a Provisional Measure releasing this extraordinary withdrawal.
