Four European leaders visited Kyiv
Key European leaders German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron visited Ukraine for the first time since the start of the war. They were accompanied by Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Romanian President Klaus Iohannis. After meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, the leaders of Germany, Italy, Romania and France called for immediate EU candidate status for Ukraine. At the same time, Scholz noted that Ukraine is part of the European family. French President Emmanuel Macron said he supported the move. Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi also said that he supports Ukraine’s hopes for joining the European Union. The European leaders also promised to help Ukraine with weapons in the war against the Russian occupiers.
EU leaders, after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, called on Russia to unblock the export of Ukrainian grain. French President Emmanuel Macron stressed that the threat to global food security is a direct consequence of Russian aggression, and this has nothing to do with the imposed European sanctions.
Emmanuel Macron, Olaf Scholz and Mario Draghi visited the city where one of the biggest battles took place – Irpin. They later held a joint press conference where they unveiled their vision for a future peace with Russia, at which the Italian prime minister stated that peace with Russia should be achieved on Ukraine’s terms. During a visit to Irpen, Draghi assured that Ukraine would receive assistance to restore the infrastructure destroyed by the Russians. In turn, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia does not want peace, but only wants war and break Ukraine and the EU.
Ukraine intends to de-occupy all its territories
US weapons will help Ukraine return the territories occupied by Russia, including Crimea and Donbass, said Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov. Reznikov said the first step would be to stabilize the situation on the ground to prevent further casualties against Russian troops. The second stage is to push the Russian troops back to their positions before the 24 February invasion. Only at the third stage, according to the minister, will there be discussions with Ukraine’s partners on “how to liberate territories, including Crimea.”
Reznikov also noted that the third meeting in the Ramstein format showed NATO’s unity and readiness to provide more weapons to fight for freedom and independence.
Invaders intend to issue Russian passports to newborns in the Kherson region
The occupying authorities of the Kherson region will issue Russian passports to all children who were born in the region after February 24, as well as to orphans. This was stated by the Gauleiter of the Russian military in the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov. At the same time, it is known that about fifty residents of the occupied Melitopol and Kherson wanted to get a Russian passport – mostly collaborators.

The resolution adopted by Seys states that more than a million citizens of Ukraine were forcibly taken to Russia, in particular, 200,000 children were deported. Ukraine will strengthen the position of the Ukrainian language
A month later, from July 16, all products with computer programs must be equipped with a Ukrainian interface, and all Internet resources must introduce Ukrainian-language versions. In particular, we are talking about electronic screens and buttons of phones, washing machines, electric coffee makers, cars and other devices. Also, from July 16, 2022, the language ombudsman will be able to impose a fine on officials of state and local authorities, managers and employees of enterprises, institutions and organizations of all forms of ownership, and other individuals who violate the law.
Khmelnytsky deputies supported the ban on the Russian-language cultural product
In the Khmelnitsky region, a moratorium was introduced on the public use of the Russian-language cultural product in any form. The corresponding decision was supported by the majority of deputies of the regional council. The moratorium will remain in effect until the end of the war.
The works of Russian and Soviet authors will be withdrawn from the school curriculum of foreign literature
Among others, Ukrainian schoolchildren will not study the works of Alexander Pushkin, Ivan Krylov, Anton Chekhov, Mikhail Lermontov, Mikhail Bulgakov, Leo Tolstoy, Ivan Turgenev, Ivan Bunin, Osip Mandelstam, Viktor Nekrasov, Alexander Blok, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Alexander Griboyedov. The seized works of these authors will be replaced by works of foreign writers in accordance with the literary process and taking into account the age characteristics of students.
