The abolition of import duties and tariff quotas for Ukrainian producers will increase the export of Ukrainian agricultural products, traditionally supplied to Britain.
The Verkhovna Rada ratified the Agreement on the abolition of import duties and tariff quotas in bilateral trade between Ukraine and the UK, which will be valid for at least the next 12 months. About this June 20 reported Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
The abolition of import duties and tariff quotas for Ukrainian producers will increase the export of Ukrainian agricultural products, traditionally supplied to Britain.
First of all, we are talking about flour, dairy products, poultry meat and semi-finished products, tomato paste, juices, sugar, etc.
“Also, the opening of new markets will contribute to the development of Ukrainian production, including goods with high added value, which will increase the flow of foreign exchange earnings, which will be used to strengthen the domestic economy,” the ministry said.
Recall, on May 24, the Council of the European Union adopted a decision allowing temporary trade liberalization and other trade concessions in relation to certain Ukrainian goods.
