Since September, it was recommended to start classes in person
The Cabinet discussed the preparation of schools for the academic year and approved security measures. In particular, educational and training hours will be held for children.
From the new academic year, Ukrainian schools will have security guards, special equipment for alerting the alarm. This was announced on Wednesday, June 22, by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet.
According to him, preparations for the new academic year were discussed at a meeting with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Regional Development and other institutions.
“A safety passport will be created for participants in the educational process, there will be security guards in institutions, special equipment for alerting an alarm, and educational and training hours will be held for children,” Shkarlet wrote.
He noted that the Ministry of Education recommends starting September 1 at schools in person in regions where there are no hostilities.
Earlier, Shkarlet said that almost a thousand teachers are fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also said that 25% of schools have equipped shelters that will allow students to attend classes.
