More than a thousand men tried to leave Ukraine with fake documents
Almost every day, border guards refuse to leave about a hundred men subject to martial law restrictions.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, almost 5,000 men have tried to illegally leave Ukraine. This was stated by the representative of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko, reports ZN.ua on Thursday, June 23rd.
According to him, in places where there are no checkpoints, border guards detained 3.5 thousand people. More than a thousand men tried to leave the country with forged documents. Over the past 24 hours alone, there were more than 30 such persons.
“Almost every day, border guards refuse to leave about a hundred men subject to martial law restrictions,” Demchenko said.
As you know, during martial law, men aged 18-60 do not have the right to leave Ukraine, but there are exceptions. In May, the Cabinet of Ministers made changes to the rules for crossing the state border, allowing a number of categories of men liable for military service to leave.
Also, the Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed to allow the departure of men during martial law by introducing an insurance premium of 3-5 thousand dollars.
