The Basmanny Court of Moscow seized the property of the blogger and author of popular culinary books Veronika Belotserkovskaya, writes “Fontanka” with reference to the press service of the court.
The arrest was reportedly made on an apartment and a parking space in Moscow, two residential buildings, an apartment and a plot of land in St. Petersburg.
The property was seized as part of the case of “fakes” about the Russian army (clause “e” of part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code), which was opened on March 16 because of Belotserkovskaya’s posts on Instagram.
According to investigators, Veronika Belotserkovskaya’s March posts allegedly contained “deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to destroy cities and the civilian population of Ukraine, including children.” On May 13, it became known that the Russian Interior Ministry put her on the wanted list.
Belotserkovsky was born in Odessa, her relatives live in Ukraine. She now lives in France. On her instagram signed by more than 948 thousand people. She is also the founder of the St. Petersburg magazine Sobaka.ru, which she transferred to the property of employees.
