Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko noted that this event is important because it demonstrates Europe’s solidarity with Ukraine in various fields.
Several ministers of culture of European countries signed a memorandum of support and cooperation with Ukraine in the field of culture. This was announced in Lviv by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko, informs Interfax-Ukraine.
“Eight ministers from Central European countries visited Lviv, one of them is online, the rest are here in Ukraine,” Tkachenko said.
The minister noted that this event is important because it demonstrates the solidarity of Europe with Ukraine in various fields.
“We signed a certain declaration, and also outlined specific steps so that we can help Ukrainian culture not only abroad, which is very important, but also here now to our cultural figures, so that they resume their work,” he said.
Among the concrete steps of international partners that Ukraine is waiting for is the support of joint projects aimed at: digital transformation of the field of cultural heritage management; support for the assessment, restoration and reconstruction of destroyed and damaged cultural heritage sites, in particular in the form of cultural patronage; support for institutions and professionals responsible for the protection and management of cultural heritage (museums, nature reserves, scientific centers); methodological supervision and expertise.
Recall that the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine opposes any cultural dialogue with the aggressor.
