The psychologist gave advice on how to maintain harmony in relations with relatives
Because of the war, many people came together with their loved ones. The expert claims that you will not have to live together for long, but you want to keep relationships with close and dear people forever.
Psychologist Maria Yatsukhnenko told how not to quarrel with relatives with whom she had to live under the same roof because of the war in Ukraine. She published tips on the HB website.
“Those close to us are usually important, and therefore not indifferent. In the common space, we begin to look for something that will satisfy the majority. Irreconcilable points of contact become immediately noticeable – and we should talk about them, telepathy does not work in this case,” says the expert.
She recommends prioritizing. For example, your principles are more important than the priorities of your parents’ family, or vice versa.
“Such a position can be very acutely perceived by the older generation. And at the same time, it should be maintained with firmness and respect for parents. You have the right to live your life, and parents have the right to their feelings,” the psychologist added.
Yatsukhnenko also stressed that it is worth remembering that you will not have to live together for long, but you want to keep relationships with close and dear people forever.
Recall that earlier psychologist Elena Adamova listed the things that need to be done during the war to maintain their psychological state in the norm.
