It is indicated that a message about a floating mine was received the day before from the civilian ship Monterrey. A helicopter, a minesweeper and auxiliary ships went in search of her. The mine was found 27 nautical miles from the mouth of the Kamchia River, which flows into the Black Sea near Varna. It was destroyed by controlled detonation.

Recall that there are up to 600 Russian mines in the Black Sea. They periodically break away from anchors and spontaneously drift off the coast of Ukraine, Turkey and Bulgaria.
