More than 150 mines and shells arrived in Sumy region
Enemies attacked the Glukhov, Shalygin, Belopol, Khotyn, Miropol, Esman communities, said Dmitry Zhivitsky, head of the Sumy OVA.
Head of the Sumy OVA Dmitry Zhivitsky informed about the situation in the region as of 21:30 July 18.
“From half past ten in the morning, the Russians began shelling our territories. Enemies were hitting the Glukhov, Shalygin, Belopol, Khotyn, Miropol, Esman communities. During the day, the enemy fired more than 150 mines and shells. They fired from mortars, cannon and rocket artillery. The Russians also opened fire from machine guns and grenade launchers,” writes Zhivitsky.
It is reported that as a result of one of the attacks, there are injuries and wounded civilians.
“At half past one, the Russians hit Belopolye from Gradov. 40 enemy shells damaged 16 private houses of civilians, outbuildings and transport. Two people were injured,” the head of the UVA added.
Earlier it was reported that on the morning of July 18, the Sumy region was also subjected to another enemy shelling. Dozens of “arrivals” from the territory of the Russian Federation were recorded.
