Popular movements, organizations, entities, politicians, artists and influencers took a stand, this Wednesday morning (10), against the attacks on African-based religions made by First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro.
On Monday (8), the first lady shared a publication that claims that former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) “gave his soul to win this election”. The text is accompanied by a video that shows PT meetings with leaders of African-based religions.

Among the main hashtags of the posts contrary to the attack by Michelle Bolsonaro are: “religious intolerance is a crime” and “don’t vote for racist”, the latter in reference to the husband of the first lady, President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), candidate for reelection. in this year.
The use of videos by bolsonaristas has already been the subject of a representation made by the Black Coalition for Rights, which pointed to the promotion of hate speech. In January of this year, one of these plays was manipulated to suggest that Lula claimed to have a relationship with the devil.
According to the Coalition at the time, associations such as these are racist, go beyond the limits of freedom of expression and aim to infuriate and generate hatred.

The Dom Paulo Evaristo Arns Inter-Religious Front for Justice and Peace published, on Tuesday (9), a note in which it expresses concern about statements about the attacks by Michelle Bolsonaro.
“In the name of respect for the faith, we ask that the First Lady withdraw immediately, within the Christian principles of love for the neighbor that she claims to profess and act in accordance with the laws that govern our country, so that it is truly a homeland for all Brazilians, regardless of religious or political option”, says the document.
Read some of the main reactions to the case:
Michelle expresses religious fanaticism in all her speech and conduct. But today’s event went further! Religious intolerance and the crime of racism committed by a first lady is serious and further determines our URGENCY to defeat Bolsonaro and Bolsonarism!

Thank God, more and more I’m hearing true evangelical friends outraged by Micheque’s lowliness and scoundrel attacking African religions in that video. As Don L says, “Jesus wouldn’t be on their side” Don’t vote racist. Religious intolerance is a crime

Michelle Bolsonaro committed the crime of Religious Intolerance by calling African-based religions “darkness”. Art. 20 of the Anti-Racism Law: Art. 20 – Practicing, inducing or inciting discrimination or prejudice based on race, color, ethnicity, religion or national origin.

What Feliciano does is a crime of religious intolerance.
Evil is the ideology of the “shepherd”, which distorts the beliefs of others to propagate hatred.
It is unacceptable that such a person continues to be elected and influence so many people to attack freedom of belief. pic.twitter.com/OX7COjafxn

Defending a secular state is not religious intolerance.
Associating alien religion with the evil one is religious intolerance.
To say that the country is of a specific religion is religious intolerance.
Using one’s religious faith as a justification for getting a vote is Pharisaism.

📢 Religious intolerance in Brazil is a crime provided for in article 208 of the Penal Code
O @twitterbrasil should be ashamed to leave a religiously intolerant post on their platform

RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE IS A CRIME and Michele knows it. It forces a demonization of Afro-based religions just to retain the evangelical vow. To respect all forms of faith DO NOT VOTE RACIST.

Marco Feliciano should be banned from this social network and go straight to prison. Religious intolerance is a crime. It is unacceptable that this is still propagated on twitter. Report him as much as you can until his account drops.

There are 144 days left for the end of the worst government Brazil has ever had. Until then, every day, I will post a sentence to remember this failure.
A family that advocates torture and rape does not respect the religion of others.
RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE IS A CRIME

I am a Christian, but I will never be intolerant of other religions. I believe that everyone needs to be respected. I learned at home to preach tolerance, with my father, who came to Brazil from Lebanon because of religious intolerance against Christians in the Middle East.

On the same day, Bolsonaro had a homophobic attitude on a podcast and Michelle Bolsonaro makes a post encouraging religious intolerance.
There are no mistakes in the way of expressing yourself. That’s exactly what they think.
Don’t vote racist (or homophobic)

Michelle Bolsonaro also decided to do the L. But don’t get excited, it’s not L for Lula. It’s the L for Orange of the militia!

Michelle Bolsonaro now encourages persecution of African-based religions. The country has never had such an obscurantist first lady. Her fanaticism is boundless. In it, the religious quirk is at the service of the worst. Nobody marries Jair with impunity.

Many do not understand the gravity of Michelle Bolsonaro’s statement, people who have no idea what it is like to live in the sights of a power structure set up to destroy you: because that is exactly what this diffuse theocracy that dominates us represents for the people of the terreiro.

Religious intolerance against religions of African origins, in addition to racism, is a CRIME (Law No. 9,459 of 1997).
