Wheat will be used to solve the food crisis in the world. Washington urged other countries to follow suit.
The US will allocate $68 million to the World Food Program to buy Ukrainian wheat for countries in need. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken tweeted this on August 17.
It is noted that the grain will be used to resolve the food crisis.
“We are committed to maintaining global food security for the most vulnerable and we call on all countries to follow suit,” Blinken said.
Recall that on July 22, an agreement was signed in Istanbul on the launch of a “grain corridor” from Ukraine. At the moment, 17 ships with 475,000 tons of agricultural products have left Ukrainian ports.
