In Minas Gerais, the Datafolha survey released this Thursday (22) shows that the candidate for reelection Romeu Zema (Novo) is ahead in the race for the state government, with chances of election in the first round. The data also show that, in second place, the former mayor of Belo Horizonte, Alexandre Kalil (PSD), showed growth in voting intentions.
Zema presented 48% of the voting intentions, a drop of five points in relation to the previous poll, released on September 15th. Kalil, on the other hand, grew by 3% and now has 28% of voting intentions. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percent.
Then come Carlos Viana (PL), with 4%, Cabo Tristão (PMB), Renata Regina (PCB) and Vanessa Portugal (PSTU) with 1% each. Indira Xavier (Popular Unit), Lorene Figueiredo (PSOL), Lourdes Francisco (PCO) and Marcus Pestana (PSDB) did not score. Blanks and nulls add up to 8% and 9% did not respond.
The research also established the scenario for an eventual second round. Zema appears with 55% of the votes and Kalil, with 33%. In the previous poll, the score was 60% to 36%.
