Croatian decision announced at government meeting in Zagreb
Croatia joins the global initiative to donate power generators to help Ukrainians this winter.
The Croatian authorities have decided to transfer 1 million euros to the UNICEF program for the urgent provision of schools and hospitals in Ukraine with generators. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia.
It is indicated that these funds will be used to purchase 50 generators with a capacity of 100 kW – they will be transferred to Ukrainian schools and hospitals to ensure their continuous operation during power outages.
“Croatia is joining the global initiative to donate power generators to help Ukrainians this winter. Croatia is actively and consistently helping Ukraine in all segments,” Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlic Radman said at a government meeting in Zagreb.
Recall that in early January, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Croatia Andriy Plenkovic. They agreed on concrete decisions to strengthen the defense capability of Ukraine.
It was also reported that Croatia would allocate almost 3 million euros for mine-clearing vehicles in Ukraine.
