Britain may transfer fighter jets to Ukraine during the withdrawal of Russian troops
The British authorities could transfer aircraft to the Ukrainian military after the expulsion of Russian troops from the occupied territories.
London does not exclude the transfer of fighter jets to Ukraine, but only in the event of the withdrawal of Russian troops. Planes could start patrolling the airspace, reports The Telegraph, citing sources.
The publication does not specify the withdrawal of troops to which positions in question.
One of The Telegraph’s interlocutors, commenting on the issue of fighter supplies, said: “Never say never.” Another source noted that this issue is now “not a priority.”
It is noted that the British army is concerned that the air force and the navy (Navy and Navy) do not make a significant contribution to the support of the Ukrainian military. According to the sources of the newspaper, Ukraine needs the participation of all types of armed forces.
Interlocutors in the Navy and the Navy explained that their weapons are more difficult to use and require more time to prepare. At the same time, the publication recalls that since the summer of 2022, the British Navy has been training Ukrainians to operate two minesweepers of the Sandown class.
Earlier in France, they said they were ready to give Kyiv combat aircraft, provided that this “does not cause further escalation.”
