Utility rates will not increase for the foreseeable future.
This is a compensator for the rapid growth in the cost of living, in conditions when salaries do not keep up with this rate of inflation and when there is a reduction in the number of jobs, said the Deputy Minister of Economy.
Utility tariffs for the population in Ukraine will remain at the current level for as long as possible. This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Economy Denis Kudin during the annual UkraineEconomicOutlook conference.
“There is a principled position of President Volodymyr Zelensky, who believes that this is a compensator for the rapid growth in the cost of living, in conditions when salaries do not keep up with this inflation rate and when there is a reduction in the number of jobs,” Kudin said.
In his opinion, this will depend on the collection of taxes and direct international assistance.
